Most of the labels found above the headlines throughout Galaxy will be self explanatory. Below are some labels we believe require some further explanation to clearly differentiate between types of posts that will appear repeatedly in Galaxy. The labels above the headlines apply to the content of the original post not the comments that may follow it. Those comments will include the opinions and/or information sharing by their authors.
A post that includes the opinion of its author or the entity the author represents.
A post describing a substantive and timely opportunity to participate in disability rights advocacy.
External Document Summary
A post based exclusively on a document (white paper, task force report or study, investigative report, etc.) from an entity external to Galaxy (DRW). We will attribute this kind of post to the entity responsible for the report so that Galaxy visitors have that information in determining its credibility for themselves
Galaxy Law Review
A post summarizing and providing a link to a law review article published by Galaxy.
A report prepared by someone working for DRW or Galaxy that draws on at least one primary source.
An unscientific poll conducted on one or more of the Galaxy platforms.
A report prepared by a journalist or a journalism student for Galaxy or reprinted in Galaxy with permission.
Law Review Summary
A post summarizing and providing a link to a law review article published somewhere other than Galaxy.
Letter to the Editor
A short letter sharing an opinion and written by someone who is not working or volunteering for DisAbility Rights Washington.
News Release Summary
A post based exclusively on a news release from an entity external to Galaxy (DRW) which is reporting on its own activity. We will attribute this kind of post to the entity that provided the news release so that Galaxy visitors have that information in determining its credibility for themselves.
A post based on news coverage from one or more media outlets external to Galaxy (DRW).
